The Event: 2013

In 2013 thousands of people will be witness to a fantastic world record breaking event and festival to benefit children that promises to be both exciting and inspiring. On multiple stages, in the middle of one of the busiest and most visited public venues in the world, multiple martial arts world record holder, Leif Becker, will attempt to break 100,000 boards in 24 hours.

Every board broken will raise money and awareness for children’s causes throughout the United States, thanks to a partnership with The REACH Foundation and the vast alliance of non-profit and community organizations they have partnered with to benefit from the event.

Between the boards breaking on stage, massive crowds cheering, and a sighting of the event’s supporting celebrities in our VIP area, this event will be nothing short of thrilling! Children from around the country who have benefited from the Breaking Barriers - Building Futures program will give testimonials on the impact it has had in their lives. And artists, from Hip-Hop to sculptors, will be bringing their talents to create powerful visuals of the barriers children face and a vision of a world where barriers have been broken through.

Sponsors will help create family friendly “barrier focused playgrounds” so that children have a chance to explore their potential to reach beyond their limits. And behind the scenes “Break- Out Sessions” between organizations tackling common causes will be a serious networking opportunity to pool resources together and create change.
